Faizan Haider | For Mayor Of Toronto
With all due respect, Somebody has to do it. Toronto doesn’t need an airport expansion at Billy Bishop.
Toronto doesn’t need to remove bike Lanes. Toronto doesn’t need a mayor who’s going to be pushed around by our Premier. Toronto is our city, our home. There needs to be a clear distinction between City Hall and Queens Park. Someone needs to step up and defend our city from Doug Ford and tell him when things aren’t right for Torontonians. Our voices need to be heard. Our needs are separate from the province, from Ontario. Toronto deserves leadership thats in charge.
Torontonians are tired of waiting on buses, street cars and trains. Torontonians are tired of being afraid to take public transit. Affordable, Reliable and Safe for all. Public Transport is essential. Its time we reboot the TTC and make it cleaner, faster, safer and cheaper. Lets fare cap to 8 rides a week, and then its free. That’s 4 commutes to and from work— and you only pay for the train. All buses and streetcars are free. Let’s also reintroduce the All Day Family Pass, so families can ride together, cheaper.
Violence is not the answer.
Criminals act out of desperation.
We don’t need more enforcement.
We need more awareness, solutions and community involvement. Its time we invest in mental health, Invest in productivity and creativity, Invest in a future where people don’t need to resort to violence.
Corruption and Control are getting old. People don’t respond to fear. They respond to empowerment and accountability. Community safety is key.
Nobody chooses to be displaced or homeless. Circumstances force people into their situation. Everyone deserves a roof over their head and food on their table. We have the resources to put an end to homelessness through alternative housing solutions, counselling and therapy. We can help people struggling find jobs and in turn help them get back on their feet.
Tarrifs and Taxes,
Too much to handle. Inflation isn’t coming down. But we control the outcome. We can lower the cost of living by increasing wages, lowering the cost of groceries, essentials, services and eliminating unnecessary taxes and fees. People want security and stability. We control the standards. We control our quality of life.
The Youth are our future. Its upto us to provide them with the right education and mentorship. Students and teachers need all the support we can give them. Meal programs is a start, but its not enough. Students need a curriculum and teachers need training that’s up to date in a rapidly advancing digital world. Investing in our schools, in our education is investing in a brighter future.
